THANK YOU!!!! 💕

Hey hey there, Reader,

I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU for letting me occupy your inbox a whole bunch the last week and a half. I sure do appreciate you for sticking with me through the LAUNCH of my membership.

I'm excited to nurture those new members. I'm starting a new quilt tomorrow to add to the portal.

Weekly DIY

I've been super busy the last week. I had a customer that wanted a t-shirt quilt made. It turned out so good. She had me make it for her son, who is in college now. She loved it.

If you guys want to make these for people, I have a course to teach you how. If you are interested, click here. You can make some good money on these.

I am trying my hardest to finish up projects that are in my stash. The following is some blocks that one of my girls started. I put it together. It's called a rail fence. The printed blocks are 6 1/2" squares. The rail fence blocks are 3 different fabrics that are each 2 1/2" x 6 1/2". Then you combine the columns and rows together, using quarter inch seams. Pretty simple quilt if you want to give it a go. I have faith that YOU CAN DO IT!!!

To finish up... It's football season, and I wanted to support my team. So I picked up a couple of hoodies at Walmart for my daughter and I. I purchased a font from Etsy and uploaded it to Embrillance Software (the free version) and entered the words I wanted to embroider. I just love the way it turned out and I can't wait to wear it. Let me know what you think?

What I'm Loving

I used a tear away stabilizer on the sample for the embroidery. It did not look very good to me. So I asked the shop on Etsy where I purchased the fonts. She recommended to use a heavy weight cut away stabilizer that is a 2.5 oz. It worked SO MUCH BETTER, especially on a stretchy fabric like a sweatshirt! Here is the one I used.

Looks like a roll of paper towels. hahaha

Reader, I have worked my tail off for the last three days to finish a collection with surface pattern design. It's a vintage Christmas theme called "Joyful Tidings". I love it so much. Hi there Reader! Still playing with surface pattern design to make repeating patterns for fabric and wallpaper. I get my inspiration from taking photographs of my flowers, upload to Adobe Illustrator, and use the pencil tool and the pen tool to outline them, then color them up. It is intense but so rewarding. I'll share my portfolio soon. I'm working on it. In the meantime, here is an alteration tip for you... Weekly DIY Alterations on a sequined dress for Homecoming Court. I always have...

Hi there Reader, My only excitement this week is a drawing today for a quilt I made. It's a raffle for my quilt - to help pay for a trip to Washington D.C. next summer for my grandson. It will be very educational. He will be going with a group from school. Side note: I designed the fabric and everything. I have it on Spoonflower. btw - we are the Panhandle Panthers. Gotta love small town sports. Turned out to be a pretty good fundraiser. Weekly DIY I heard scrunchies are back. Here is a...
