Scrunchies are back in action...

Hi there Reader,

My only excitement this week is a drawing today for a quilt I made. It's a raffle for my quilt - to help pay for a trip to Washington D.C. next summer for my grandson. It will be very educational. He will be going with a group from school.

Side note: I designed the fabric and everything. I have it on Spoonflower.

btw - we are the Panhandle Panthers. Gotta love small town sports.

Turned out to be a pretty good fundraiser.

This week I want to feature Kate S. She made a baby’s quilt for her friend’s first granddaughter. It is so adorable! Great job Kate and thanks for sharing with my tribe.

I also have a follow up photo on a project that Pam shared with us earlier.

This is what she shared.

Here is my finished desk!
After some trial & error with trying to decoupage fabric and having to remove it, I ended up using adhesive shelf paper for the desktop and used some mod podge on the top and sealed it with the Dixie Belle Clear Coat Satin.

It turned out so beautiful. Don't y'all just love the color? It's a Labor of Love!

You guys keep sharing. I absolutely love to see what you are working on. Just reply back and send photos.

Weekly Inspiration

Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

No matter what you do now - whether in a job, at home, in retirement, or in other roles - the Lord will use it for His glory when you work at it with all your might. Make the most of the abilities and resources God has given you, even if it's to make a little scrunchie for your granddaughter. 😉

I get my inspiration from taking photographs of my flowers, upload to Adobe Illustrator, and use the pencil tool and the pen tool to outline them, then color them up. It is intense but so rewarding. I'll share my portfolio soon. I'm working on it. In the meantime, here is an alteration tip for you... Weekly DIY Alterations on a sequined dress for Homecoming Court. I always have...
