Do you have a strong work ethic?

When I was young, watching my parents work extra to make ends meet left a lasting impression on me as a child. It instilled a strong work ethic in me.

They took on extra jobs to support our family. You learn lots of things when observing others. To this day, I work as diligently as possible to achieve the results I want.

For instance, I'm in a big program right now called Powerhouse to learn how to better run this business. It's intense y'all!! It is very interesting to say the least. I have met fellow powerhousers that are amazing, and we stay in touch weekly. I learn so much from them. It's nice to have a community to bounce ideas off of. I'm working as hard as possible in the program to better teach you guys.

I want a strong community with all my peeps on my email list. I'm working on a community for us all. I think I'll call y'all "Sewing Superstars". I will throw in some crafts and wedding/event planning as well.

The students in my ongoing course of 'Level Up Your Sewing Skills eCourse' are moving right along. It has been a pleasure creating the projects in the course. This past week, I uploaded some pajama pants and a t-shirt, with videos, supply lists, and sewing instructions. Next, I'll be working on a girls dress that will include how to shirr the fabric. It's so stinkin' cool!!

I'm hoping and praying more people will want to join the course on the next launch. Let me know if you think you will be interested in the next launch.

I hope you have a fantastic Friday and a lovely weekend!

What are the most vivid memories from your childhood that left a lasting impression on you? I would love for you to reply back and let me know your stories.

It can be difficult to keep up a strong work ethic in an era of burnout, and this is especially true after a stressful week of balancing school, your job, family, and personal responsibilities. All stacked on top of each other, the pressure to do it all, and do it well, can be exhausting. But the Lord is on your side to help you persevere and to remind you that you have both your inner strength and His. His strength can be found in your faith, which you can access through prayer whenever you need a reminder that your work ethic never goes away, but just needs to be recharged every now and again.

Proverbs 16:3
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will succeed."
Philippians 4:13
"I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives me strength."

Hi there Reader! Still playing with surface pattern design to make repeating patterns for fabric and wallpaper. I get my inspiration from taking photographs of my flowers, upload to Adobe Illustrator, and use the pencil tool and the pen tool to outline them, then color them up. It is intense but so rewarding. I'll share my portfolio soon. I'm working on it. In the meantime, here is an alteration tip for you... Weekly DIY Alterations on a sequined dress for Homecoming Court. I always have...

Hi there Reader, My only excitement this week is a drawing today for a quilt I made. It's a raffle for my quilt - to help pay for a trip to Washington D.C. next summer for my grandson. It will be very educational. He will be going with a group from school. Side note: I designed the fabric and everything. I have it on Spoonflower. btw - we are the Panhandle Panthers. Gotta love small town sports. Turned out to be a pretty good fundraiser. Weekly DIY I heard scrunchies are back. Here is a...
